The Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of Montenegro and NGO Juventas will intensify their communication and cooperation through projects, which will be implemented by NGO Juventas in the following two years with the aim to promote and protect human rights of LGBT people. It has been foreseen by the Memorandum on cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights and NGO Juventas, which was signed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Duško Marković, and President of the Board of NGO Juventas, Ivana Vujović.

The main goal of the cooperation foreseen by this Memorandum is to improve the quality of service provided to LGBT people.

The Memorandum also foresees that the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, within its remits, human and technical capacities, will support the implementation of project activities implemented under Juventas' program of Promotion and protection of human rights of LGBT people. The signatories have also committed to cooperation in monitoring the implementation of the recommendations of the Council of European on measures to fight against discrimination against LGBT people, in line with the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights.

At the meeting following the signing of the Memorandum, the interlocutors agreed that it is necessary to intensify the work of the working group which is responsible for the preparation of the program document for the fight against homophobia and emphasized their expectations that work on that document will be completed by the end of April.
