This year, NGO Juventas marked April 8th - World Roma Day as part of the project “Assistance for integration and return of RAE and other I/DPs living in Konik neighborhood”.

Participants of the Juventas’s youth workshops, organized on the occasion of marking the World Day of Roma, prepared one of the acts of the cultural and entertainment program, attended by a large number of Konik residents. The participants had the opportunity to present themselves with traditional Romani dance and to celebrate this holiday. Support and assistance to program participants were Roma assistants who were engaged by Juventas on this project - Fitim Pajazitaj, Lejla Emini i Daim Krasnic.

Also, in order to make this holiday more beautiful for children who participated in the event, the employees of NGO Juventas organized their visit to the cinema on 7th of April, 2014. The children had the opportunity to watch the movie “Montevideo, Bog te video!” and spend the day socializing with other cinema visitors, together with Juventas’s employees,

The main barrier of the project “Assistance for the integration and return of RAE and other I/DPs living in Konik neighborhood”, within the framework of which these activities are implemented, is the international organization HELP – HilfezurSelbsthilfe. In addition to Juventas and the Danish Refugee Council, other partners on the project were the Fund Roma Education from Budapest, Green Home and Legal Center. The project is financially supported by the Delegation of the European Union, the Government of Montenegro, the Roma Education Fund from Budapest, the UNHCR office in Montenegro and the Danish Refugee Council.

Within the framework of the project “Assistance for integration and return of RAE and other I/DPs living in Konik neighborhood”, NGO Juventas marked April 8th - World Roma Day with a group of 30 young Roma who attended educational youth workshops in Konik camp.

On the occasion of marking the World Day of the Roma, participants of the Juventas’s youth workshops prepared a cultural and entertainment program, attended by a large number of residents of Konik camp. The youngest ones were given the opportunity to act, recite and sing, and in this way celebrate the World Roma Day with their compatriots. The Roma assistants who were engaged by Juventas on this project - Fitim Pajazitaj, Lejla Emini and Astrit Zizaku - provided great support and assistance in preparing the program.
