In October 2013, within the framework of the project “Assistance Program for the Integration and Return of RAE and other I/Ls living in Konik neighborhood”, whose main applicant HELP - Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe, Juventas began with the implementaion of workshops on housing rights and obligations, disasters and preparedness for emergencies. Workshops were held with adult Roma from Konik Camp I and II. A total of 10 workshops were held in the period from 29 October 2013 to 28 November 2013. Each workshop included 10-15 participants. The main objective of the workshops was to educate adults, members of the RE population, about home rights and obligations, and to prepare for natural disasters and emergency situations.

Two Roma assistants took part in the organization of the workshops. They were in charge of gathering the interested participants and, if necessary during the workshops, interpreting for persons who can not fully understand the language. For two hours, which was the duration of each workshop, the expert team consisting of Juventas informed the participants with the most common incidents that could happen in the household, advised them on how to prevent possible accidents and how to react if an accident occurs. They also informed them about the possibilities of responding to weather and emergency situations, and provided important telephone numbers they can contact in case of a disaster.
